Local Spots
The Home Inn and Suites is in a very suburban and car-loving part of Southeast Memphis. You can’t walk anywhere here. Right around it there are mostly more hotels, some office parks, and big roads like Hacks Cross Road plus the Bill Morris Parkway. Nothing major for tourists or even any nice parks or real spots of fun are within what most would call an easy or pleasant stroll distance. Built to serve as a handy stop for those with cars, not really set up as a jumping-off point if you want to explore on foot.
There are a couple of fast-food and casual chain restaurants just a short drive away for immediate practical needs though it would be a long, unpleasant walk along busy commercial roads. This area does not have the sidewalks, the pedestrian-friendly infrastructure that would be found in areas where strolling is encouraged. Any guest who does not come with a vehicle will find the location extremely isolating and will be entirely dependent on taxis or ride-hailing services for all meals and activities.
They should know that the hotel's grounds are the main area to walk. The stay is based on coming by car, liking the cozy room, and then using your car for all trips. The worth of the place is its fast way to get on the road system, which links you to the rest of the Memphis metro area, not any local neighborhood charm.
